Nel caso sia stato deciso di sviluppare il SW (internamente o da un fornitore esterno), il Processo di Sviluppo si articola nelle seguenti attività:
• analisi dei requisiti del cliente e studio di fattibilità, che deve portare alla definizione di un piano di sviluppo;
• piano di sviluppo (che definisca le risorse in termini di persone con compiti e competenze, HW e SW tools, ciclo di vita del prodotto SW, standard dei requisiti, di design, codifica e test, per quanto applicabili), il piano dovrà essere sviluppato tenendo conto dei tempi di programma;
• stesura specifica funzionale (in tale specifica i requisiti SW dovranno essere identificati univocamente, possibilmente tramite PUI, con matrice di tracciabilità verso e da i test);
• progetto dell’architettura (se ritenuto opportuno dal capo progetto SW);
• progetto di dettaglio (se ritenuto opportuno dal capo progetto SW);
• codifica;
• integrazione software;
• prove di qualificazione (che devono battere tutti i requisiti SW della specifica);
• installazione;
• supporto all’accettazione ed all’avviamento.
