or "just the one time"... We might do with a bit more context here, but I think the jist is that at least the Gault Millau (gastronomy guide) in 1998 gave/offered her first prize as Chef of the Year, just for the one time.

I am interpreting "primo piano" as a typo for "primo premio," but it could very well be that "primo piano" here means a special in-depth, up-close-and-personal feature article ("primo piano" as in "close-up") in the Gault Millau guide.

Thank you for helping me out. I'm not convinced tantum, in this context, means "just the once", as one takes it for granted that a cook of the year award is only given to the winner once. However I appreciated the extra help you gave with "primo piano, which I think was spot on. Thanks again!
