Any suggestions for this from a menu I have to translate. Could be a number of things, I know, so I'm just trying to come up with a generic translation that could cover all bases as I've no idea what it's going to be

Zuppetta di fragole al limone verde

strawberries/pureed strawberries/strawberry coulis
Explanation:
You can use one of these three. It's basically strawberries blended in a mixer, with or without sugar/lemon/other flavours. coulis is more sophisticated...

take a look, it explains what zuppetta is in the text:
http://fotoefornelli.com/2010/05/mousse-al-basilico-su-couli...

then again I may be way off base: by "zuppetta" they could mean something like this here: http://lacucinadianicestellato.blogspot.com/2008/07/torta-di...

agree  R.C. (X): strawberries (why chilled?) in green lemon soup... most literal

-> only because chilled sounds soothing .... of course it is pretty much obvious that nobody is going to serve boiling hot strawberry soup. However, I think the key to the solution is are we talking first course (thus "soup") or dessert ("zuppetta" cake thin

Strawberry cream / Strawberry custard

Explanation:
I base my suggestions on the idea that the term derives from "Zuppa Inglese" type recipes, which suggest "cream" or "custard" to me.

For information on Zuppa Inglese see:

As an extra alternative, strawberry "mousse" could also work if the recipe is actually dairy based.

Strawberry soup

Explanation:
There are lots of recipes for a nice summery "strawberry soup" online and I've seen it in modern recipe books too. It all depends what actually goes into the recipe I guess but "strawberry soup" is a possibility.
