I'm not sure what a catalana is. Is it a sort of paella?

Hi Eileen, you're very kind, I'll post it as reference though, I think someone has already given 'crudités' as an answer :-) Thanks a lot!

Asker: I think this is also the answer to my previous question. Could you post this answer there, too, so I can give you credit for both? And, thank you.

shellfish/seafood paella

Explanation:
http://forum.amando.it/paella-pesce-catalana-28646/

Normally the catalana is just fish, but in this case specified as shellfish.

I think you can use paella here. It is pretty international.

I was wrong about this.

A correct answer could be "Catalan style shellfish' or something similar.

http://chiunquepuocucinare.wordpress.com/2008/05/14/catalana...

If you type in 'catalana ci crostacei', the pics speak for themselves. It seems that you boil the shellfish with wine, and tomatoes... a bit like doing a marinière but with tomatoes too !

neutral  Sara Maghini: It's not paella - look at all the ingredients listed in the various sources provided.
