fish casserole/stew Explanation: Seems to be this, rather than paella, as there's no rice it in: http://www.casaricette.it/public/ricettebimby/Primo/801/CATA... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 8 mins (2011-12-22 14:25:55 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- http://domanderisposte.tuttogratis.it/ricette-secondi-piatti... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 9 mins (2011-12-22 14:26:52 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- The ingredients seem to match, more or less: http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/catalanfishstew_74501 -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 11 mins (2011-12-22 14:29:43 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- insomma sento i miei amici che spesso escono a cena e mangiano questa benedetta catalana di pesce: ma si puo sapere cos'è? -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 14 mins (2011-12-22 14:31:57 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Yes, I suppose so, never tried it though :-) -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 40 mins (2011-12-22 14:58:01 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Hi Eileen, you're very kind, I'll post it as reference though, I think someone has already given 'crudités' as an answer :-) Thanks a lot! |

shellfish/seafood paella Explanation: http://forum.amando.it/paella-pesce-catalana-28646/ Normally the catalana is just fish, but in this case specified as shellfish. I think you can use paella here. It is pretty international. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2011-12-22 17:11:28 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I was wrong about this. A correct answer could be "Catalan style shellfish' or something similar. http://www.ivanborsato.it/blog/2008/01/19/catalana-rivisitat... http://chiunquepuocucinare.wordpress.com/2008/05/14/catalana... If you type in 'catalana ci crostacei', the pics speak for themselves. It seems that you boil the shellfish with wine, and tomatoes... a bit like doing a marinière but with tomatoes too ! -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 3 hrs (2011-12-22 17:42:00 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- CATALAN STYLE SHELLFISH |
