Italian to English translations [PRO]
Cooking / Culinary / Marmellate
Italian term or phrase: laboratori
Marmellata prodotta e confezionata nei laboratori (segue indirizzo dei laboratori)

Non credo che la parola inglese "laboratory" funzioni nel caso di un laboratorio di prodotti alimentari... ma non saprei proprio come renderlo altrimenti in inglese.

Qualcuno ha un'idea?

Grazie e buon anno!!

it would be nice to have some more context - whether it's a brochure for example. But a concordancing-type search on Google comes up with the words above, all of which have slightly different nuances which may be obvious to you, otherwise let me know and I'll explain in more detail

Food Lab

Explanation:
I agree that there's just a little context, but the term "food lab" is higly used for the production of food too.

neutral  Anthony Green: yes, nice, but isn't food lab rather too experimental a concept if they're making jam in there every day?
30 mins
-> As the "every day production" is not clear, i didn't assume it as the central part of the question. But "food lab" appears to be so comprehensive that can be used in both cases.

agree  Inter-Tra: in this case 'Fruit Lab' or 'Jam Lab'. Marie Curie made jams in her lab..

neutral  Anthony Green: it's a German book though! "workrooms" sounds ok, but I can't imagine ever reading it in a brochure if this is what it is Rita, in your second example I see some people have used "workroom" but I don't think they're professional translators

Don't translate

Explanation:
To be honest I would be tempted to leave it out!
I think it sounds natural in English to say simply "Manufactured and packaged by XXX".
Since you state that the product has been manufactured and packaged there, it's pretty obvious what facilities are involved.

Depending on the wider style of the text, using "kitchens" for this might bring an added level of authenticity. Happy new year from London everyone!
