These are Swiss institutions, but I do not really understand their purpose/level even after looking on the Internet.
Diploma School means nothing to me and Preparatory School indicates kindergarten ...Help please.

Diploma School / Cantonal Preparatory School
Explanation:
They are types of "Scuole Superiori" (High Schools) peculiar to the Swiss school system (see ref.).
To render this, I'd suggest to use a partial translation or leave them in Italian.

Thanks for your assistance. I ended up asking the client
exactly what a Scuola di Diploma was and he assured me that
it was post high school vocational study, so as you say,
unique to the Swiss system. We in Australia call this a
TAFE school - Technical and Further Education.

Explanation:
"scuola di diploma" = "Highschool"

"scuola cantonale" means (Ticino) canton school.
Switzerland is divided in "cantons". The Italian speaking canton is called Ticino.

"propedeutica" = Propaedeutic

So I guess we could call it: "Preparatory High School"
Preparatory course.
Preparatory for college.

I hope this will help.
