Italian term or phrase: interblocco con bloccaggio del riparo
Hello,
Dealing with safety barriers and guards around danger zones.
I need to translate a term that seems rather redundant. The complete sentence is "ripari mobili con interblocco o con interblocco con bloccaggio del riparo".
I have translated "riparo mobile" as "mobile guard" and " ripari mobili con interblocco" as "interlocking mobile guards", but the sentence seems to trip over itself and both elements seem identical. Am I missing something?
Thanks!

Tuttavia, se taluni elementi mobili che partecipano direttamente alla lavorazione non possono essere resi interamente inaccessibili durante il loro funzionamento a causa di operazioni che richiedono l'intervento dell'operatore, detti elementi devono essere muniti di:
ripari fissi o di ripari mobili con interblocco o con interblocco con bloccaggio del riparo, che impediscano l'accesso alle parti degli elementi non utilizzate

interlocking and self-locking

Explanation:
"ripari mobili con interblocco con bloccaggio del riparo" look to be interlocking devices which also have a self-locking feature.
So you have thee kinds of guards:
1. ripari mobili > mobile guards
2. ripari mobili con interblocco > interocking mobile guards
3. ripari mobili con interblocco con bloccaggio del riparo > interlocking and self-locking mobile guards

This is what I understand in Italian, I presume you can find a better solution in English.

Asker: Hi, thanks it is not the term "ripari" that is troubling me, rather the term "interblocco con bloccaggio del riparo". Thank you :)
