Law/Patents - Environment & Ecology / Waste charges business registration form
Italian term or phrase: br./esp.
This appears in a form I'm translating, it concerns waste charges in Florence and appears at the top of the registration form where those filling it in have to include their address:

Via/Piazza/etc __________ no. ____ br./esp. ____ scala ____ piano_interno ____ CAP

I can see that lots of addresses in Florence have r or br after the street number but I can't find a translation anywhere, any help would be much appreciated.

br. could be the line break code
meaning the next part of the address is written on the following line

did a little further research and found this
In Genoa and in Florence houses are marked with black (sometimes also blue in Florence) numbers while businesses are usually (but not always) given red numbers, resulting in two distinct series for every street. The street numbers of businesses are denoted in writing (e.g., documents, online directories, etc.) by the addition of the letter "r"—e.g., Via dei Servi 21r.

exponent

Explanation:

(Old UPU documentation has a different, outmoded form of this address.)
Street address with slash / used to separate main house/building number from "exponent" number
MARIA RUSSO [recipient]
VIA APPIA NUOVA 123/4 [street main house number / "exponent"]

ou can add a slash / to the house number as a separator between the main number and the exponent, and you can add a comma to separate the metre fractions in house numbers indicating the kilometre. Therefore, the following addresses are valid:
