Italian term or phrase: Il suo essere smart
I just want to check that "il suo essere" refers to "uno scenario". If it does, (and i have been using the term "landscape" due to the rest of the context), then how best to open this paragraph and translate this phrase?

Context:

Smart mobility is intelligent in that [...]

Explanation:
In the context of digital technology, "smart" means a machine, program or system can "act" and "make decisions" with a degree of independence or autonomy.

By borrowing the EN term, the IT wording makes life a bit complicated for the translator, and this may be one of those rare cases where the EN translation ends up being a bit longer than the source for the sake of clarity.

Another option would be to start the sentence with "Its intelligence lies in/is due to [...]" but for once I would prefer precision over brevity here, although the verbosity of the IT can still be trimmed.

Bottom link for broad context (smart mobility usually being part of a wider smart city programme).

Example sentence(s):
  • Smart mobility is intelligent in that it can be adapted, used and monitored by individuals, firms and governments while ensuring that economic and environmental sustanaibility targets are met and serving the widest range of needs in any given space.
