plenipontentiary adviser for geology Explanation: Sorry, I've already posted an answer in a wrong pair One may translate "unico" as "sole" but, to me, it sounds ambiguous and even slightly silly – fit for a dating site :))) -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 11 mins (2014-01-05 09:49:42 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- can't use "chief" for he is the only one! |

Sole geology consultant. Explanation: "Consultants" tend to work on a contract basis, whereas "advisors" can be employed on a long-term basis by the firms they work for, which does not seem to be the case here. "Sole" is a neutral word which collocates with "consultant" (or "adviser"), while "plenipotentiary" is usually for roles in governments or other institutions (president, minister, ambassador, etc.). "Geology" can be used to define "consultant", so you do not need to write "in geology" after "consultant" but you can integrate it in your phrase. Example sentence(s):
