Italian term or phrase: cordicella
The text of a presentation - it says to 'clicca sulla cordicella'. The logical 'rope' or 'cord' is all I can come up with; if there is an image of that on the screen to click on, then fine (I don't have the screen itself to see......) but if it means something else in web site language, could someone enlighten me? Is it another word for link/tag?

I've given a point for thread as it seems possible (possible!), whilst I note have James's point, it's poossible that that's what they mean - I've had to ask for clarification. Thanks all.

Hi Joanna, I just Googled "cliccare sulla cordicella" (1 hit about a hot air balloon) and "cliccare sul pulsante" which gives 300,000 + hits. It isn't web jargon.

Nobody seems to be using "cordicella" in the sense of "web thread". Thread in this sense seems to remain as is in Italian. Looking at Italian web "glossario" they are generally explained either as a "catena" or "filo" della conversazione. Otherwise the Italian for thread is "thread".

Note to reference poster
Asker: Your G search same as mine. Looking at the defs of 'web thread' I've found, it looks like that is what it may be, esp as my reader is clicking on it to see details about other things). Shall have to offer the two options (thread/an actual rope) in a note I think.

Asker: Point taken - thanks. Need to refer to client, as was my instinct at the start!
