English translation:formatting & output style
Explanation:
"Output style editing"

their is a concept of "style" in terms of actual LOOK of the text: punctuation, indents and tabulation, foot/endnoting, fonts of the notes being different or the same of the main text, heading, page numbering and its location, etc.
I.e., in academic Formatting and Style, one may use a Michigan University Style Standard, or Harward University Style, ecc. There are many output styles, but it is important to be consistent in their use throughout the paper (students, for example, rarely are!)

Explanation:
Apparato can be another word for text, and redazionale just means journalistic, so I would translate both your words with a single "stories," since you are already using "texts."

Explanation:
Thanks to Jim for his helpful reference.

As the asker points out, "editorial apparatus" does exist in English, but I'd never heard of it before today. It means things like typography, footnotes and bibliographies, but it's used entirely in academic circles, whereas this is a media agency we're talking about.

I would translate "scrittura in inglese di testi e apparati redazionali" as "English copywriting and editing".

  -> Thanks, Wolf. But there are already the whole lot of well-established guides around: I think what they do is just take care of the styles, using the already extant systems.

desk-top publishing apparatus

Explanation:
an option

Improvements in desk-top publishing apparatus
EP0240920 A2
ESTRATTO
A desk-top publishing apparatus in which an operator enters and manipulates different types of data objects such as typed text and line drawings. The apparatus is arranged to perform a method of managing the relationship between intermingled objects of different types for editing purposes. Management is through establishing separate and combined modes of operation. When a separate mode is selected, only a selected object will be affected by an edit action. When a combined mode is selected, selection of any object will result in all objects being affected by an edit action.

@cristianac
However I've also find *editorial apparatus* explained in the following link:
http://www.jstor.org/discover/10.2307/40371549?uid=3738296&u...
Some principles for Editorial Apparatus

see if it fits better the whole context.

@cristianac
Following my posted note on discussion, hereunder the link
explanation:

Ethos: the apparent moral quality, credibility, reliability of the speaker/writer

on the elements of the writing process (planning, inventing, arranging, drafting, revising, editing).

Style: diction and tone; clarity and propriety; variety and emphasis; prose rhythm; syntactic options (for expanding and reshaping sentences).

The above is just to give you another option. However, I stand my ground on *editorial apparatus/apparati*

Hope it may be of some help to you.

A partire dal dopoguerra il mondo accademico ha promosso convegni e studi sul tema della pubblicazione delle ricerche e del corredo di apparati redazionali. Tali apparati considerano principalmente:

· le note a pie’ pagina;

· la bibliografia;

· le modalità di trascrizione dei documenti e di citazione;

· l’uso delle interpunzioni particolari (a es., il trattino: - o –; le virgolette: inglesi “ ”, di citazione « », di inclusione < >);

· l’uso di effetto-carattere: corsivo, grassetto, maiuscolo, maiuscoletto;

· la produzione e l’alfabettizzazione degli indici.

I had immediately thought of editing Phil, but then it doesn't seem to mean the key part of editing, deciding what should be cut and improving the text. One common usage is for the editorial staff and/or their activities.
