confidential position/confidential work
Explanation:
Qua "fiduciario" si traduce meglio con "confidential" e "incarico" con "position", se il geometra sta per entrare in un'azienda - vedere il link per un esempio.
Se il geometra è un freelance, direi "work" piuttosto che "position".

neutral  TechLawDC: 100% wrong. The word "fiduciario" in Italian never means anything other than "fiduciary" in English (look up "fiduciary" in any EN>EN dictionary). The translator cannot permissibly write his/her own dictionary, on a whim.

-> Does use of the english legal term, "fiduciary" make any sense to you when applied to the professional duties of a surveyor? For me context is more important than "always".

as a fiduciary … the tasks described

Explanation:
Entire sentence: The Principal assigns to the Professional, as a fiduciary, the tasks (or assignment) described below:
Alternative 1: The Principal assigns to the Professional, who is being engaged as a fiduciary, the tasks (or assignment) described below:
Alternative 2 (best if you accept certain liberties): The Principal assigns to the Professional, who is being engaged in a fiduciary capacity, the tasks (or assignment) described below:
(I have never seen the term "fiduciario" refer to confidentiality per se. There is nothing wrong with, e.g., "confidenziale", among other adjectives, for that purpose.)
