Restricted Principal Practice Explanation: Your certificate refers to the Italian system and it should be translated accordingly. The main reference law is 247/2012, which reformed what a trainee lawyer can and cannot do in Italy during his/her traineeship period. My understanding of Limited Scope Representation is that a client choses to access only certain services of an attorney, while doing the rest himself. So-called "unbundling" of services. Normally to save money and attorney fees. The answer I have provided is used in common law juristictions and in Scotland, which is a kind of "fusion" of common and civil law. hope this helps. |

Limited Rights of Audience under Supervision; (UK & IrE) Devilling Explanation: E&W: would square with the authority in the second six-month stint of one-year pupillage for trainee Barristers who are allowed to appear in court under the supervision of an experienced pupil-master or mistress! (QC or Senior Litigation Solicitor). No such authority during the first six months of training cf. the similar training of a Solicitor-Advocate or Legal Executive-Advocate. Scotland: a Trainee Advocate is called a 'Devil', rather than a Pupil, namely (also E&W) 'devilling' (taking on) briefs ) cases of qualified Scots Advocates. English into German ProZ translators recently had a problem getting their heads around these kinds of legal traineeship, even though there is a Rechtsrefendarzeit in DEU and Gerichtspraxis in AUT - court practice known in the UK as 'marshalling' e.g. of the judge's case papers. 'A pupillage is the final stage of training to be a barrister and usually lasts one year; in England and Wales the period is made up of two six-month periods (known as "sixes"). The first of these is the non-practising six, during which pupils shadow their pupil supervisor, and the second will be a practising six, when pupils can undertake to supply legal services and *exercise rights of audience (court appearances)*.'
