Sentence in a press release about the financial impact of a particular industry on the domestic economy. I found both 'product revenue' and 'production revenue' in an accounting context. Can anyone confirm whether either is correct in the above context or if there is a better option? Thanks in advance.

Explanation:
"This €90-billion industry employs 20,000 people in Italy [or wherever], excluding temporary staff".

I don't think we'd use a phrase like "production revenue" in a press release. We tend to say that the industry is worth X billion, or is an X billion industry, referring to its annual revenue.

revenue plus stocks produced in the year of reference

Explanation:

Notes to answerer
Asker: I think if you meant revenue plus stock on hand, that may the the case here but the client provided no evidence to confirm that.

neutral  philgoddard: You don't seem to have read the context. It's not about a company, and it doesn't say anything about "stocks produced in the year of reference".
