Italian term or phrase: hotel di charme
Si è concretizzato un investimento immobiliare in dollari americani nella regione della XXX nel segmento hotel di charme.

I am struggling to find a definition for that part "(nel segmento) hotel di charme":
I assume it isn't exactly luxury hotels we are talking about.
So far I have come up with a few ideas yet nothing seems to catch my fancy. Also, I am looking for something that sounds natural to native-English ears.
There were a few hits for 'hotels of charme', though many of the pages were not very reliable Italian to English translations.

Thank you

boutique hotel

Explanation:
The Wikipedia page sounds like it might be what you're after.

An earlier KudoZ question about "charme" apartments concluded that it meant high-end, luxury and refined, but not necessarily always modern or always traditional.

"Boutique hotel sector" gets 6 million hits on google.co.uk for me.

agree  Michael Korovkin: As Griboyedov wrote, "the mix of French and Nizhnij Novgorod", except here it's French and Italian. Pity they didn't write "hotel dde ciarme": would've been French and Tor Vergata

charming hotels

Explanation:
I don't see why you shouldn't use this simple term. There is even a chain of hotels with the same name:
