I know it is in the dictionary but I can not find a suitable meaning.

Plain and simple. However, I just might change the wording a bit with an "in different locations", because you don't really "use" a location, but it isn't too important.

Just means that people can communicate in real time (RTC) from different locations, in another office, from home or from a hotel (e.g with VPNs Virtual Private Networks)
