optimal/excellent results/outcome Explanation: get rid altogether of "which way well turn out to be" keep it simple, it's a scientific article, not a (bad) poem The sense is that at the end of the day new materials and protocols should (hopefully) yield optimal results In that excerpt I don't see any hint to long-term results |
