spesso può valere la pena di rendere un sostantivo con una forma verbale:

"...a particular action, e.g. touching the floating terminal 10..."

naturalmente nell'ipotesi di rendere "una determinata azione" e "terminale flottante 10" nel modo forse un po' rozzo che ho ipotizzato qui sopra... ;-)
