Reference: Are the visuals available? Reference information: This may refer to the use of negative space (http://thedeependdesign.com/negative-space-in-logo-design/) in graphic design, but here I think it simply refers to the outline or silhouette that the designer has to frame the logo with to make it stand out against a (supposedly) white background... Not sure if either of the suggested terms in bold would do for 'alone', though... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day29 mins (2013-09-08 06:45:16 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Another thought: could this be referring to the use of halftone to 'soften' the logo silhouette when used white on white? If you have the logo available, as I think, please check if any of these make sense. More context could help. |
