stresses caused by vessels to harbour structures Explanation: these are the stresses which vessels in general cause to the structures in a port harbour (quays, buffers, barges etc.). I would like to use the word port instead of harbour but this tends to give the wrong impression (it means also left side). The other sentences make me also think about tidal stresses on approach channels and sea beds but it is hard to imagine without more context so I have been generic more than specific |
