Care homes for the elderly Explanation: There is an ongoing fierce debate in the UK on funding for elderly care. My understanding is that, in the UK, payment for care in such homes is means-tested; the homes themselves are not state-run but funding may be provided by the state depending on the financial means of the elderly persons involved. Perhaps you could say something like State-funded care homes for the elderly. |
