sports department Explanation: Sorry, but sport in the singular is simply wrong for a shop. The department makes articles for all kinds of sports, not just for tennis, for example. I had a quick look at some results for "sport department" and the first sites that came up were Juventus (Italian-written), the Armenian National Agrarian University and other foreign websites. Ministries and government departments are different, though: there you may find a Sports Minister or a Minister for Sport; difficult to explain but basically it is a ministry for sport in general, whereas your company has a department serving all (different) sports..... hope this helps |
