Italian term or phrase: fittone
I'm translating a leaflet on safety when walking in the mountains which includes a section on techniques for using a via ferrata safely. Here it refers a couple of times to the "fittone", which I understand to be the anchor point to which the safety line is attached. Rather than use the generic "anchor point", does anyone know a more exact translation in English?

Thanks, Sarah.

Thanks Raffaele. I've decided to use just "anchor" as from the text it is impossible to understand if they are the "glue-in" kind.
