Italian term or phrase: nodo a otto infilato invertito
I'm translating a leaflet on safety when walking in the mountains which includes a section on techniques for using a via ferrata safely. This describes how a via ferrata kit should be attached to the climbing harness:
"Con il set che presenta come parte terminale uno spezzone di corda, si effettua una legatura diretta con **nodo a otto infilato invertito**.
The "nodo a otto" translates into English as a "figure-eight loop", but I'm not sure about the "infilato invertito". Can anyone suggest the correct equivalent term in English? Thanks, Sarah.
