Italian term or phrase: F.B.
Document = "passaggio di consegne" drawn up by a chief engineer, partly in English and partly in Italian

In section "Works under progress":

"appena possibile rinnovare tratto tubazione f.b. generatori (piano pagliolo lato dr) rinnovare tratto tubazione linea circolazione condizionamento..."

I have no idea what "f.b." stands for, how to translate it or even if it is linked to the "tubazione" or "genaratori"

English translation:fuori bordo
Explanation:
this is the Italian but in English it is commonly referred to as outboard

In the first instance fuoribordo (one word) is an outboard motor. Outboard is called fuori bordo (two wrods) in Italian. The two mean the same, e.g. outside the board. The board is the external part of a ship's hull. In your case the pipes take the generator cooling water overboard into the sea. Marolli technical dictionary gives reference to this

Notes to answerer
Asker: could you give me a ref. for "outboard" for "fuori bordo", all my dictionaries just say "over board". Thanks
