Italian term or phrase: trasporto
I'm translating instructions for obtaining reimbursement of travel costs, in this case using water-based transport. My problem is how to translate "trasporto" in a "countable" sense. A couple of examples are given below, taken from a list of documents to be provided with the request for reimbursement:
- ricevuta fiscale rilasciata dal fornitore per ognuno dei trasporti acquei
- fattura cumulativa rilasciata dal fornitore del trasporto acqueo per i trasporti eseguiti nel mese.
The meaning of "trasporto" in this context could be "(boat) trip", but this seems too informal for this formal procedural context. Any ideas for a more official sounding translation? Many thanks, Sarah.

Difficult, difficult... but in the end I've opted for this "neutral" solution. Thanks to you all, Sarah.

trip

Explanation:
Might sound informal, but the term is frequently used as in a "business trip". Of course a single business trip might be composed of more than one journey (to by road to the port, by ship to the ... etc.).

Hi Sara / Guys, please excuse the mistake.. this happens a lot when one is totally bilingual: to really not know which language one's thinking in !

As colleague <INGLESEDOC> points out : 'passage' is obviously the word as in E.M. Forster's: 'A Passage to India'
