Italian term or phrase: Colleganza
Hello,
help please!
I am translating a text for an accounting Firm website and I am not sure how to approach one of the websites sections.
The word "colleganza" is given as a domain, and its meaning is contextualized going back to the actual origin of the term.
At first I tought I could translate it into "fellowship" or even "working relationship" (even if I'd need ONE term only to render the meaning of the section), but now I am even considering leaving it in original language...what do you think?

Below is an extract of the text:
"La modernità della “colleganza”: i vostri obiettivi, i nostri valori
Nel Medio Evo la Repubblica di Venezia iniziò la sua ascesa al ruolo di massima potenza marittima del Mediterraneo .....La colleganza era un contratto notarile molto utilizzato per praticare il commercio sui mari a lunga distanza e permetteva di associare varie tipologie di persone e vari tipi di risorse, creando un comune interesse a raggiungere un obiettivo lontano e normalmente molto redditizio."

Thank you in advance!

English translation:leave it in Italian (or Latin)
Explanation:
I don't feel the meaning is very well explained in your text, unless there's another paragraph after this one.
The collegantia (its Latin name) was a medieval shipping contract in which one party provided the money for a voyage, and the other the labour.
You should leave it in Latin - if you try to translate it as the previous two answers have done, the text won't make sense.

Explanation:
I wouldn't leave it in Italian - it would never be understood. Alternative is colleagueship, but I've never heard it used and it's ugly

Asker: Thanks! Yes, actually leaving it in Italian is not a great solution and you are right: it would never be understood!

agree  Vojislava Jankovic (X): I was wrong, and you are right. I didn't catch the meaning, I didn't know about this shipping contract. It's always better not to be fast, but right.

Colleganza

Explanation:
The merchants also pushed for remarkably modern innovations in contracting institutions that facilitated long-distance trade, for example, the colleganza... We document this oligarchization using a unique database on the names of 8,178 parliamentarians and their families’ use of the colleganza in the periods immediately before and after 1297.
