Nell’ambito della trattativa epistolare, conclusasi con la permuta di centoventitre fra statue e busti con nove dipinti di mano dello stesso Rubens, tre di Tintoretto e una serie di arazzi, il pittore, vantandosi di avere “al presente fior di robba in casa, [e] particolarmente alcuni quadri che ho tenuti per gusto mio”, cita per l’appunto tra queste opere disponibili per l’occasione “Dodeci Apostoli con un Cristo fatti di m[i]ei discepoli dalli originali che ha il ducca di Lerma de mia mano, dovendosi ritoccare di mia mano in tutto i [=e] per tutto”, impegnandosi per altro “di finir quanto prima tutte quelle pitture che non ancora sariano di tutto punto finite”.

où quelque chose qui s'approche. Je trouve la phrase de Chéli mieux tournée, mais à mon avis "fior n'implique pas tant un nombre" qu'une qualité extraordinaire
