Devo tradurre questa frase:

"I dipinti più tardi... abbandonano il soggetto paesistico, sicuro filo conduttore di questa rassegna, e la concludono."

In genere non traduco verso il francese perché sono poco pratica, ma una mia amica mi ha chiesto un favore per una mostra che sta curando e così... Non trovo nulla che mi sembri adeguato e soprattutto non vorrei rischiare di confondere "paesistico" (inerente ai PAESI) con "paesaggistico" (inerente ai PAESAGGI, vedute et similia)... voi cosa dite? Grazie!
