Buongiorno,
Ho trovato questo termine che annuncia l'apertura ufficiale, la prima in Italia, di questa struttura che repertorierà tutti i formaggi della regione. Secondo me è un neologismo. Ma voi come lo tradurreste?

P.S: si tratta di una descrizione sommaria sul sito di un resort

Se il termine fa riferimento a un'attività di produzione e/o commercializzazione dei formaggi, si tratta di un neologismo lessicale ma non semantico. Quindi, personalmente, non vedo la necessità di inventare anche nella traduzione: io userei il termine «fromagerie», che esiste, è pertinente (http://www.cnrtl.fr/definition/fromagerie: «Boutique où l'on vend des fromages.») e attestato (http://www.petitpaume.com/selection/les-meilleurs-fromagers-... Eventualmente, si potrebbe conservare il termine italiano ed aggiungere quello francese tra parentesi, con qualche spiegazione, tipo:

«cacioteca, fromagerie consacrée aux différentes variétés de cacio, fromage typique de la région»

Se invece si fa riferimento a un repertorio senza attività di vendita, allora effettivamente siamo di fronte a un concetto nuovo, e quindi sono d'accordo con i colleghi per «fromathèque», per analogia con bibliothèque.

Asker: Buonasera, in effetti non è un negozio di formaggi perchè è un consorzio di tutela dei formaggi che lo sta inaugurando: "il consorzio di tutela e valorizzazione Corfilac sta realizzando la prima cacioteca d’Italia", quindi penso proprio che fromathèque alla fine rende meglio la novità anche se i neologismi in Francia non sono ben accetti come in Italia.
