si tratta semplicemente di un dispositivo di sicurezza che serve per bloccare un portellone di un garage tender di una barca per evitare che questo scenda improvvisamente ferendo le persone che si trovano a bordo. ho trovato moltissime traduzioni per "puntello" ma non so quale sia quella giusta in questo caso.
la frase è: "una volta ultimata l'apertura del portellone del garage, mettere in sicurezza la zona utilizzando l'apposito puntello di sicurezza posizionato sul lato sinistro dell'apertura. Tale dispositivo di sicurezza deve essere incastrato saldamente sullo stelo del pistone in modo da creare un blocco meccanico in caso di un'eventuale rottura del sistema idraulico che alza e abbassa il portellone".

dal testo mi sembra che il puntello debba bloccare il meccanismo idraulico che apre il portello e non la barca

potrebbe quindi essere un bloquer de tige
cioè un dispositivo che blocca lo stelo
