Questa è la definizione che ho trovato nel glossario nautico su www. raimondo.it :Cima usata per fare trazione verso il basso, ad esempio sul tangone: è detta anche alabasso. Però nella frase che devo tradurre sembra che si tratti di una manovra: "In posizione rialzata si può anche lavorare da dentro, appoggiando un piede sul gradino, e qui è rinviato un po' tutto, come sempre nelle barche da regata, compreso il vang, il caricabasso e tutte le manovre che di solito arrivano in questa zona."
