A collegare la laguna al mare aperto, la bocca di Primero è un canale oggi sovrastato da un lungo ponte stradale.

Ich bin mir leider nicht hundertprozentig sicher, wie "bocca" hier korrekt zu übersetzen ist.

Explanation:
Bocca di Primero. Eine Mündung ist die Eintrittsstelle eines Fließgewässers in das Meer. Eine Lagune, selbst kein Fließgewässer, hat Verbindungen zum Meer, in diesem Fall einen Durchstich, einen Kanal. Zum Vergleich: Am Stettiner Haff sind die Verbindungen Meeresarme, am Frischen Haff haben wir eine Verbindung schlechthin, nur am Kurischen Haff ist von einer Mündung (der Memel) die Rede.
