Explanation:
Um eine Waffel kann es sich nicht handeln, weil dies beiSofteis mitgegessen wird. Bekanntlich wird es beim Einfüllen aber durch ein sternförmig gezackte Düse gepresst.

Dafür gibt es spezielle Softeis-Maschinen. Wird das Eis abgefüllt, läuft es über eine spezielle Düse, an der es mittels Überdruck aufgeschäumt wird. Erst danach gefriert es. Dies sorgt für die typische luftige Konsistenz des Eises.

Ein Rührwerk im Zylinder hält die gekühlte Mischung in ständiger Bewegung. Nur eine dünne Eisschicht, die an der Oberfläche des Zylinders gefriert, wird von scharfen Schabern abgekratzt und per Überdruck mit Luft aufgeschäumt als Softeis in einen Waffeltrichter abgelassen.
