Ho trovata questa parola in un certificato di nascita di 1886:

"L´Ufficiale di Stato Civile - Geom. Felice Novelo"

L´unica possibilità che conosco è abbreviazione di "geometra", che non sembra appropriato.

Esiste qualche altro significato conosciuto?

A abreviação é essa, mesmo! Provavelmente na época a pessoa que datilografava os certificados tinha esse título. Em PT podemos usar tb agrimensor, referido à medi~ção de terras.
