semifreddo Explanation: din cate stiu se lasa in italiana (cel putin in US). Semifreddo all'Italiana Explanation: Sau "Ice Cream Cake (all'Italiana)". The "Semifreddo", Italian famous dessert based on meringue, pistachios, candied fruit, pine-seeds and whipped cream with the citrus fruit sauce promotes a classic of the Italian ice creams. SEMIFREDDO (ICE CREAM CAKE) Typical italian cold mousse-like dessert. It is softer and does not freeze as hard as ice cream. Another difference from traditional ice cream lies in the fact that it has a lot more ingredients, including the basic creams, fresh liquid cream, aromas and sometimes meringue. Its shape depends on the mould used to make it in. HTH Succes! Reference: http://www.superricettario.com/sr3/eng/glossario.asp?idt=2&i...
