Il Ministero dell’Interno (in attuazione dell’art. 4 del T.U. del 25 luglio 1998, n. 286) ha emanato, in data 1.3.2000, la Direttiva sulla definizione dei mezzi di sussistenza per l’ingresso ed il soggiorno degli stranieri nel territorio dello Stato (pubblicata sulla G.U. n. 64 del 17.3.2000).La Direttiva stabilisce che la disponibilità dei mezzi finanziari possa essere dimostrata, dal cittadino straniero, mediante l’esibizione di denaro contante, di fideiussioni bancarie, di polizze fideiussorie, di equivalenti titoli di credito, di titoli di servizi prepagati o di atti comprovanti la disponibilità in Italia di fonti di reddito.
