Смысл pizzo на итальянском - страховая сумма (т.е. определенный процент со всей суммы или "доля"). Смысл выражения "откат крыше за все про все". В этом смысле подоходный налог по фиксированной ставке от любой получаемой суммы также смахивает на этот um pizzo per tutti :-)...

Explanation:
сама технология называется рэкет (т.е. вымогательство денег под угрозой насилия.) Люди - рэкетиры. На жаргоне называется "крыша" т.е. эта самая "protezione" и люди, которые ее осуществляют. Pagare pizzo - платить крыше, за крышу.

L' estorsione и venuta alla luce poco tempo fa, quando i due
hanno rapinato alla loro vittima il cellulare che gli avevano
appena regalato i genitori, chiedendogli cento euro per
restituirlo. Il quattordicenne ha cercato di rubare in casa dei
soldi per pagare il riscatto, ma и stato scoperto dai genitori.
Messo alle strette, ha finito per raccontare tutto.
I genitori si sono rivolti subito ai carabinieri, che dopo
alcuni accertamenti hanno denunciato il maggiore dei due al
Tribunale dei Minori.
