The second, 事統, strikes me immediately as an abbreviation of 事業統合, which means “business unification/integration” or “merging of operations”. The first, 流事, if formed in the same manner, might be an abbreviation of 流通事業, or “distribution business/operations”. However, expenses for business unification and expenses for distribution operations would seem to fall into very different categories. I therefore suspect, at least if the PPT business presentation concerns real estate, that 流事 may be an abbreviation of 流動化事業, which itself would be short for 不動産流動化事業, or “real-estate liquidization operations”. (Outside of a Japanese context, the word “liquidation” is used, but in Japan “liquidation” means 清算 and the Japanese have made up this unique 化-ized term 流動化, which requires a separate translation, hence “liquidIZation”.) In short, if the context of the presentation is real estate development, then I would say that “liquidization operations and merging of operations” might be a good bet. But if the context is not real estate, then I could only guess that it would be “distribution operations and merging of operations”. In any case, if you have not already done so I would recommend searching the file (and any other materials available for this particular job or company) for any other instances of the characters “流” and “統”, since these instances might hint at the character combinations that are being abbreviated here. |
