Japanese term or phrase: 登録
Dear ProZ members,

I was wondering if 登録 had some particular meaning in the following sentence.

In a cartoon, some guys are making a band. They miss some instruments, but a friend of them offers to cover them using samples. One of the band members says to this friend:

ドラムとキーボードも揃って良かった グループ作っから登録よろしく!
(Luckily we found drums and keyboard. Since we're making a group, please handle the registration!)

This 登録 never comes out again in the movie. I suppose they mean to register/apply for something (a contest? A band list? Some city permission?), but it's unclear.

I was wondering if 登録 implies something more that I'm missing in this case.

Thank you for your help!

Explanation:
They will upload their performance on Youtube. So, what they are asking is "Please subscribe to our channel."

In response to your note, 登録 can't be used to mean "create a YouTube channel". However, it can be used when asking friends to subscribe to their channel once they make one like チャンネル作成(開設)したら、登録よろしく。

registration - take care of/handle the registration for us

Explanation:
Your suggestion of 'handle the registration' is fine I think though' take care of' is just as good, as it does appear to be about forming a band for a contest of some sort and they need to register for it, especially as they have found all the instruments or members they need.

It could be any kind of contest or concert, even just the school concert which is more likely if they are only middle school students.

I added 'for us' as he has come to the rescue with the music sampling and they now want to entrust him with taking care of the management side of things such as registering them for the contest, or whatever it is. It seems more personal to add 'for us'.

Just a bit of advice: It's form a group/band not make a group/band.

Bands are generally formed not made : -) Though 'made' can be used in a different context.

Notes to answerer
Asker: YouTube is mentioned in the movie, so it could be. However, they never say they have a YouTube channel. Just to be sure: 登録 can't be used to mean "create a YouTube channel"? Thanks!
