fond memories and days that I spent with you Explanation: Your first interpretation is the right one. The exact counterpart for や does not exist in English. It is basically "and" but it could also mean "or" and it also implies that this is not an exhaustive list (AやB implies there may be C and D). The poet is just listing what comes up in his/her mind but there may be (in this case quite likely) other things that the poet remembers. 毎日 is not quite "all the days" here. It simply refers to "days" and it could be replaced with 日々 without changing the meaning. 胸の中に映る is literally "are shown in my heart" as you say, but this is an expression to say "I remember." |
