market Explanation: I haven't seen this word used this way, but Microsoft Bookshelf has an entry that says: そきゅう【訴求】 そきゅう(ソキウ)【訴求】 ―する 〔広告や販売などで〕商品をうまくPRし、買ってもらうように客に働きかけること。 So, I guess this means to market. In the J-E section of the same dictionary, it says: そきゅう【訴求】 そきゅう【訴求】 《形式》 solicitation 句例 訴求する 〈販売などで〉 request; 《形式》 solicit. I think this measn to solicit the interest of prospective customers, so I would go with "to market." I guess the author is trying to avoid using katakana but I don't think many Japanese people understand this. |

Using .... as points for promoting this product Explanation: Company A is using the significant reduction in network costs and introduction of an efficient and easy system as points for promoting this product. This word 訴求 can be difficult to translate sometimes. "Points for promoting..." sounds the best in English to me. Good luck! |
