I was originally translating 研究科長室委員会 as the "Executive Committee" before another term 執行部会 appeared later in the document.

Could anyone suggest an alternative term for 研究科長室委員会 that would be used at a western graduate school.

Many thanks

Council of Deans

Explanation:
I suppose 研究科長室委員会 is a committee or council of deans of different departments at a university. Hope it helps!

Asker: Thank you for your reply. In this case, the Committee/Council is within one graduate school and only contains one Dean (the Dean f the Graduate School), rather then an inter-department council made up of lots of Dean's.
