peer agreement (net): +2| 魚發 Hatsu Explanation: As Humbrid says in the note above, this is not a real fish, but probably a retaurant name. I even asked a friend of mine who is a sushi chef who says he's never seen this character before (which is why you have it as two separate characters instead of one), and even looked it up in his sushi dictionary. This is a character that the store probably made up. 發 is the older form of 発. This character can have a number of different meanings (departure, origin, reveal, discharge as in a weapon) depending on context. If it is a proper noun as Humbird suggests, it should be translated as Hatsu. Otherwise, you may want to ask your client for more information. |
