「—・けた才能」 広辞苑 第四版 rise [or raise oneself] (up) above the crowd 人よりぬきんでる,ずぬける. As far as mathematical ability is concerned, he's head and shoulders above the rest of the class.(こと数学の能力に関する限り、彼はクラスでずば抜けている)。 Three months after entering the university, he began to stand out above the others in his class.
