Japanese term or phrase: 法例業務
Hi everyone,

I have found this term in a couple of job descriptions. The following is listed among the duties of a finance department manager, stating that he/she should ensure the implementation of a compliance system, and
会社運営上の必要な法例業務の正確な対応

I have found very few google hits for "法例業務", but I do not know whether it may be an input error ("法令業務" perhaps?) because it recurs multiple times in several job descriptions.
In the context of a company's compliance system, and in particular with regard to financial operations, what should I take 法例業務 to mean?

Thank you in advance for any help.

English translation:managerial responsibility and duties related to laws, regulations, and company protocols
Explanation:
A finance mgr is not a lawyer, so I don't think it is 法令. It may be that 法例業務 was originally a literal EJ translation of "setting a legal example" that is now getting reverse-translated, but I think a safe approach would be "managerial responsibilities and duties related to laws, regulations, and company protocols"--something that emphasis the managerial responsibilities related to legal/compliance matters, rather than the legal matters themselves.

A finance mgr is usually responsible for making sure subordinates uphold all laws, regulations, and company procedures and monitoring their activities, reporting suspected violations to legal/compliance dep't, communicating with the legal/compliance dep't to stay on top of changes in laws and regulations and compliance procedures, circulating memos from and assuring attendance at compliance/legal dep't workshops, etc etc etc. I believe they can even be held accountable for a subordinate's actions if they *should* have caught them.

Regulatory compliance roles

Explanation:
I think 法例 was meant to be 法令. "Regulatory" will work either way.
