sales floor for a different/another product category Explanation: Yes, it is really up to the context.... I'm just giving another option here, which means the floor/section/room (売り場) for a different/another product category (部門). I'm interpreting 部門 as a product cateogry, for example, not home entertainment systems but white goods. |

other (products) display rooms Explanation: 1, 売場: sales place; sales floor; display room. I know in the UK, "sales place" "sales floor" and "display room" are commonly used by native people. 1. sales place, is kinda casual, I don't think it matches a formal occasion. 2. sales floor, shall be used, e.g. there's a 3-floor shopping building, 1st and 2nd floor are sales floors, F3 is office floor, then people use "sales floor" in order to differ from the office floor. 3. display room, is a place where you display, promote and sell your products, moreover it's also a place you can get closer to your customer, treat him like your guest. So I select "display rooms" for 売場 for this time. Surely "sales floor" may be more accurate, depending on the context. 2, 他部門: 各部門売場の商品が同じなら, use "other display rooms" しかし、例えば食品売場や家電売場や化粧品売場などで, use "other products display room" |
