It's not that mysterious than it sounds - I bet you see it everyday, unless you're a 100% T-shirt and buggy pants kind of guy! Most jeans have back york, and man's shirts have back yoke panel. For woman's clothing, it often comes with additional effect, such as contrast yoke (different fabric), gathered/ruffled yoke, embroidered yoke, and so on.
