Lithuanian term or phrase: (prieš/po)draudiminis įvykis
Laba diena,

Igoris.

(before/after) the event insurance accident

Explanation:
UK Law society kalba apie "Before the event insurance" http://www.lawsociety.org.uk/for-the-public/faqs/before-the-...
Draudiminis įvykis turėtų būti insured event, tad kad nebūtų dviejų "event", rašome, manau, tinkamą accident. Todėl ir before/after the event insurance accident

pre-/post-coverage event

Explanation:
The only possible meaning I can associate with priešdraudiminis įvykis is an event, obviously uninsured, which creates a pre-existing condition to the insurance coverage. To use the term pre-insurance event in that case would sound like something that occurred prior to the insured event, i.e. it would be ambiguous in English. Pre-coverage does not exist, just like priešdraudiminis įvykis does not exist, but it is clear as to its meaning.

agree  The LT>EN Guy: Exactly! It is, however, possible, in some areas of insurance, to get retroactive coverage. And, sometimes, some events occuring after the coverage proper will be insured for some time. But I don't really think the author means these concepts?
